OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS HELP

The Windy Hill community currently includes 45 at-risk children who need tutoring and after-school help to succeed in school.

Even with our low rents, all senior residents at Levis Hill House need a substantial rent subsidy.

Our single mothers with pre-school children need help with parenting skills and preparing their children for kindergarten. Middleburg and The Plains have no Head Start program.

Windy Hill households, with a median family income below $18,000/year, must have an “emergency” fund to weather a rainy day.

Both Middleburg and The Plains need housing for schoolteachers, shop attendants, farmhands, firemen, and rescue workers. The Plains has lost 27 units of workforce housing in the last 20 years.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Your financial support is essential if Windy Hill Foundation is to continue its dual mission: to provide safe, decent and affordable housing for those who work locally and for the elderly. And, through our family programs, to promote self-sufficiency and self-improvement among our low-income tenant residents.
