Joe Boling

Joseph L. Boling, President

Joe Boling is Chairman of Middleburg Financial Corporation, the holding company for Middleburg Bank, Middleburg Trust Company, and Middleburg Investment Advisors.  
Mr. Boling served in Vietnam, during which time he received three Bronze Stars for Valor, a Combat Infantry Badge, and a Valorous Unit Citation.  He retired from the military in 1994, after 28 years of service and having received the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, and two Army Commendation Medals.  He has served as President of the Foundation since 2005.

Peter Vanderloo

Peter Vanderloo, Vice-President

Peter Vanderloo is an in-house attorney with AOL.  He has practiced commercial real estate and complex commercial contract law in Northern Virginia for 14 years.  He is a graduate of George Washington University Law School and has his bachelor's from the University of Delaware.  He lives in Leesburg with his wife, Michelle, daughter, Lexie and son, Jameson.

Dan Morrow

Daniel Morrow, Secretary

Dan Morrow is a partner and publisher of the Middleburg Eccentric, a community newspaper in Middleburg, Virginia.  He is the co-founder and principal at Jamestown Exploration Company, a privately held public relations and communications company. Dan serves as secretary to Windy Hill Foundation, on the Loudoun County Public Library Board of Trustees, the Board of the Mosby Heritage Area Association, and as acting Executive Director of the Loudoun Laurels.  He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Alan Croft

Alan Croft, Treasurer

Alan Croft and his wife Ilona have lived in Middleburg since 1973 where they raised their two daughters.  In addition to being a member of the Windy Hill Foundation Board, he also currently serves on the Advisory Council for the Piedmont Community Foundation and is the President of the Board of the Middleburg Tennis Association. Alan is an attorney with the law firm of McCandlish & Lillard in its Leesburg office.

Tommy Dodson

Thomas Dodson is a life-long resident of Middleburg.  In addition to managing a family business, Dodson served on the Town Council and as Mayor of Middleburg until 1980 before serving on the Loudoun Board of Supervisors until 1994.  He currently is Director of Development & Community Relations for Birmingham Green, a regional long-term care organization for the localities of Northern Virginia.  He and his wife, Marianne, have two children – Leah, a student at Clemson University in South Carolina and Ted, a teacher at Brooklyn College in New York.

Valerie Dove

Valerie Dove

Valerie Dove was raised in Connecticut and has lived in Middleburg since 1999 with her husband, Guy. She is very active in the local garden clubs, chairing the Fauquier-Loudoun Historic Garden Week in 2006. She also served on the vestry at Trinity Church in Upperville for 3 years and was on the Board of the Piedmont Child Care Center. As a member of the board of Windy Hill, she chairs the Fashion Show Committee, which is responsible for organizing this annual fundraiser in support of the Foundation’s Family Services Programs. She is the mother of 2 children and recently became a grandmother for the first time.

Mary Jo Jackson

Mary Jo Jackson

Mary Jo Jackson and her husband, Dr. Ronald Jackson, a recognized authority on adhesive esthetic dentistry, are long-time Middleburg residents.  Mary Jo is very active in local philanthropies. As well as serving on the Windy Hill Board, she is President of the Middleburg Community Center and serves on the Board of two other local charities.  Her work for Windy Hill includes serving as a member of the Family Development Committee, which oversees running of the Foundation’s Family Services Programs.

 

George Lengenauer

George Lengauer

Since making Middleburg his permanent home in 1986, George Lengauer, Lt. Col. USMC (Ret.), has been actively involved in both community governance and local philanthropies.  George’s career included 21 years active duty in the Marine Corps followed by 18 years as an analyst and manager for defense contractors in Northern Virginia. He chaired the Town of Middleburg Planning Commission for 14 years and is currently the President of Seven Loaves Services, Inc. a non-profit organization. George is Chairman of the Windy Hill Foundation’s Family Development Committee, which oversees all the Family Services Programs provided to Windy Hill residents.
Eura Lewis

Eura Lewis

Eura Lewis is a long-time resident of Middleburg. After a career as a teacher in Fauquier County, Eura was elected to the Middleburg Town Council in 1996 and served continuously until she retired from the Council in 2008. While on the Council, she served as the Council representative to the Historic District Review Committee and she currently serves as a citizen representative on the Board of Zoning Appeals. Eura has served on the Windy Hill Board for many years and is a member of the Family Development Committee, which oversees running of the Foundation’s Family Services Programs.

Ann Northrup

Ann Northrup

Ann Northrup, mother of two, grandmother of two, works in the library at Hill School and runs two week-end outreach programs there called Team and TEEN Saturday. She graduated from Denison University and Georgetown University, and was a founding member of the Middleburg Library. Ann is a member of Windy Hill Foundation's Family Development Committee which oversees the Family Services Programs for Windy Hill residents.

Kevin Passarello

Kevin Passarello

Kevin Passarello is a co-founder of Bedford Falls Capital in Middleburg, Virginia—a private equity management and advisory firm.  Kevin served from 1999 until 2005 as General Counsel and COO of TRADOS, a software company with 150 employees in 9 worldwide offices on 3 continents.  From 1987 to 1999, Kevin practiced law with prominent firms in Washington and Pittsburgh.  Kevin graduated from Georgetown University Law Center with a J.D. in 1986 and from Saint Vincent College with a B.A. in 1983.  Kevin has extensive experience in low-income housing tax credit projects, and served as counsel on 7 such transactions before joining Windy Hill Foundation.  He has been or remains a director for numerous corporate boards and charitable enterprises.  Kevin and his wife Carla live in Middleburg and have 3 children.

Bill Tyler

Bill Tyler

Bill Tyler has worked over 25 years exclusively in the real estate development and construction industry and has broad experience in both residential and commercial land development .  A native of Loudoun County, Bill has a vast knowledge of local and regional markets. He is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College with a B.A. in English and is a second generation developer.  Bill serves as Chairman of the Foundation’s Construction Committee.

Judy Washburn

Judy Washburn

Since moving to Middleburg in 1977, Judy Washburn and her husband, Lang, have been very active in many projects to help improve this community with a special commitment to Windy Hill.  Judy has been active with the Foundation from the beginning, joining the Board in 1982 and serving as a director every year since.  Judy and Lang were recently honored with a Loudoun Laurels award for Lifetime Service to the people of Loudoun County.
